Conquer The Enemy

He wanted to be your only God

And force you to hold to the rod.

God the Father made the choice

He let us keep our precious voice.

While Satan now has been cast out

His hatred rages as he shouts.

We have the choice to ignore him

And keep our light from going dim.

We must as dragons fight his fear

And focus on our Savior dear.

As we, into battles go

Our Savior, the way, will always show.

Bruised and broken his body was

For a pure and righteous cause.

He was the only one who could

For his life was perfectly good.

The only things of us he asks

Are rather very simple tasks.

Love Him and others with your heart

And he will do his promised part.

The day will come when the war is done

And we’ll learn it was already won.

Our Savior was the victor sure

When he offered his heart so pure.

So as we leave this life behind

The best we could do was to be kind.

That’s s how you conquer evil

Seeking God’s words to fulfill

Seek For Everlasting Praise

It starts out when we are quite young
They tell you of a job well done.
It makes your heart feel good inside
But also makes for a bumpy ride.

The praise of man should not be sought
It only lends our souls to rot.
Seek the praise of The true king
And to his glory praises sing.

Worldly praise is like the rain
And like the rain, goes down the drain.
God will give us what we need
So we, on false praise, never feed.

Always seek for what is real
Not just how it makes you feel.
What Jesus Christ can offer you
Is very real and oh so true!!

Father’s Greatest Christmas Gift

I’ll never truly understand
What Jesus Christ did just for me.
He left His holy home on high
And in a lowly manger lie.

He did not seek for worldly cares
His Father’s love is what He shares.
He taught us all that we should do
Follow God and ever be true.

His selfless gift of sacrifice
Was made for me, He paid full price.
He was the only one who could
Do what He did for all our good.

This Christmas focus on His life
And follow Him in spite of strife.
Pick up your cross and do your best
And know He’ll help you with your test.

Seek out those who need His love
And be the hands of Him above.
In giving of our love and time
You’ll feel His love, sweet and sublime.

He is the Father’s greatest gift
He came to save us and uplift.
Give thanks to Father every day
For our dear Savior, that I pray.

Open Arms

You left his presence up on high
To learn and grow and show His love.
We knew it would be worth the pain
As long as we return above.

Mistakes are made by each of us
As we go through this bumpy life.
There is one sure way to have peace
Trust in Christ to have less strife.

At times chaos may seem insane
But know that righteousness has won.
Faith in God will win the day
So keep your eye on God’s own Son.

Your life is marked by many scars
As proof you fought and stood for right.
Jesus Christ waits patiently
With open arms to hold you tight.

In All Give Thanksgiving

Each morning that I take a breath

I’m grateful for another day.

Heavenly Father gives us all

Give thanks to him each day, I pray.

My family is my source of joy

And many times a great big pain.

But therein lies the greatest gift

Without both there is no gain.

Be grateful for the trying times

They forge us into useful tools.

Seek to follow Jesus Christ

Thus you will never be a fool.

This body that I’ve had for years

Has served me well in many ways.

This temple we must always guard

Against the evil of the day.

Gratitude for all these things

Will lift our hearts to Him in praise.

Always seek the King of Kings

That back to Him we all will raise.

Its Worth The Task

From whence does come this dreadful thought
My life is not what I had sought.
I lived my life to follow Him
Why do my chances now seem slim.

I’m sure there’s scriptures that tell me.
If I obey, I’ll be pain free.
But I’ll be damned if I can’t find
One scripture that comes to my mind.

If we expect God’s great reward
We must follow our true Lord.
He asked of us, pick up your cross
You’re not alone, its not a loss.

To climb a mountain takes great work
Why does heaven make us shirk?
Heaven’s rewards are so much more
Than anything we could fight for.

Don’t lose sight of His great plan
Our loving God the Son of Man.
It surely will be worth the wait
When we walk through that heavn’ly gate!

Veteran's Honor

They all decided in their hearts

To serve their country to the end.

All seemed to go as they had planned

But life would come around the bend.

The first ones served with Washington

And gave a life to our great land.

Everything was on the line

The time had come to take a stand.

The civil war brought many tears

As brothers fought against their kin.

There were no winners in this war

But freedom could now return again.

The war to end all other wars

Was never farther from the truth.

Many men would not return

Lives cut short while in their youth.

Many wars have come and gone

It seems as though peace can’t be found.

Many still want to serve their land

That is their call and they are bound.

Filled with pride and dignity

All gave some and some gave all.

Reach to to them and show them love

They need to know they are not small.

Honor’s what they all deserve

A token of their sacrifice.

Never can they be repaid

For they all paid a hefty price!

Coming in Glory

The day’s been known for all time
By only God and Him alone.
He sends prophets to prepare
Our hearts to His we must clone.
Satan knows his days are short
Because this war he’ll never win.
He sends his armies to attack
Hoping he’ll get us all to sin.
We must keep our focus sure
On Jesus Christ, God’s only son.
The prophet tells us the same thing
Seek after Christ the Holy one.
The seas will heave and storms will rage
But know that Christ, the storm He calms.
He has all power, is full of grace
To Him we ever give our alms.
His day of glory will soon be here
Make sure we’re ready to receive.
Clean our homes as well our hearts
He will return, you best believe.
Oh the majesty of that day
When in the clouds he does appear.
The righteous praise His holy name
The wicked hide their face in fear.
All of the trials, tests and pain
Will help us all abide that day.
The Father’s gifts that wait for us
Are so immense we can’t repay.
So hold on tight to all His words
Enduring well all that’s in store.
Because our God can never lie
We’ll be with Him forevermore.

His Infinite Atonement!

Long before anyone was born

We stood in council with our Lord.

One brother sought to be our God

God chose Jesus, we did applaud.

All the prophets spoke of Him

His mercy, grace, would never dim.

All who followed His commands

Wouldn’t suffer all that law demands.

God then would send His only son

Born to a virgin, the only one.

He grew up teaching all he knew

Of how to live and what to do.

His love of truth hardened hearts

From old ways many would not part.

Many chose His heavy road

Yoked with Christ to bear the load.

On to the olive press he went

To complete why He was sent.

Suff’ring all for you and me

He knew that’s how it had to be.

Nailed to a cross on Calvary

“My God, why did you forsake me?”

His mission done, His body spent

To His father, He now went.

They placed His body in a tomb

It now became a sacred room.

Mother earth cried violently

Her creator, gone was He.

Sunday came as it always does.

An empty tomb, now it was.

Our Savior rose on the third day.

His Atonement paved the way.

Never can we comprehend

That what He did will never end.

Grateful we should ever be

So we will ever live with Thee.

What Would I Ask Of Him

For Him who can do anything

I ponder what I’d ask of Him

Would I ask for health or fame

Or only that my light won’t dim.

My children always fill my mind

Should I ask that they be healed?

So many questions fill my mind

I only want for them a shield.

Life can be like broken glass

A total loss it seems to men.

Yet as His child, we need only ask

He’ll put the pieces back again.

One thing he wants from you and me

A broken heart and spirit contrite.

That is the only way to grow

Our humble hearts seek out His light.

When all is said and all is done

To be with Him is my desire.

For nothing else is of import

So that my heart burns as a fire.

His Arm Is Sufficient

When you came to earth to dwell
You knew that you’d be put through hell.
But one thing that we knew for sure
The Savior is the perfect cure.

Growing up did not seem fair
It often felt like no one cared.
Looking back it’s all so clear
The Savior handled all my fear.

Children bring the greatest joy
They’re fragile like a precious toy.
They test you to the uttermost
And never, ever let you coast.

Trials come and trials go
Life’s never easy, never slow.
One thing’s for certain and for sure
God loves you with a love so pure.

You’ll never make it on your own
Because some seeds were never sown.
Just don’t focus on the bad
Seek for Jesus to be glad.

If you’re faithful to the end
Stay true to God and never bend.
He’ll be there even when you fall
His arm’s sufficient for us all!

Undo the Doom

Doomscrolling never satisfies

It hides the truth among the lies.

Before you know it you’re in deep

It seems as though you are asleep.

Endless drama keeps us fixed

On worthless garbage till we’re nixed.

It seems as though it never ends

Down the rabbit hole it sends.

If you want to scroll through things

God’s word will peace and safety bring.

It may not be the thing to do

But God’s rewards will see you through.

Focus on the good out there

There’s good to find, to just be fair.

Pull yourself out of the dirt

And no longer will you hurt.
