The Greatest War Ever Won

Before Adam, on earth, was placed

The older brother showed His grace

He offered His life for each dear child

With a heart humble and mild.

Prophets foretold of His holy birth

Long before He came to earth.

Born to a mother pure and sweet

His mission of love to complete.

Satan knew he could not win

So he tempts us to commit sin.

His weak attempts to foil God’s plan

Will never stop The Son Of Man!

In the Garden Jesus bled

From every pore his blood was shed.

Upon the cross his body nailed

While evil men His life assailed.

Sunday came on the third day

Sin and death, both He did slay!

With His resurrected frame

Satan now had lost the game!

So don’t lose hope or faith in Him

His light and power will never dim!

To Him we need to turn our core

Our God and captain won the war

Scourging Soldier

They brought him to receive his stripes
The sorrow in his eyes so ripe
Thirty nine was all he bore
The law said there could be no more.

My duty was to do this task
I just obeyed and did not ask.
No words of anger passed his lips
His mouth stayed closed, he did not quip.

Blood ran down his fresh torn flesh
Leaving wounds raw and fresh.
I placed a robe upon his back
To mock him in a last attack.

My time on earth is now complete
I find myself at this Man’s feet.
No anger came from His pure heart
Just perfect love from the very start.

He suffered all he did for me
The one who beat him endlessly.
My tears now freely left my face
As I felt his perfect grace.

For this reason he did come
To save us all, yes everyone.
Willingly he suffered all
And redeemed us from the fall!

Sacred Emblems of His Love

In an upper room they met
For the Last Supper they would get.
Twelve apostles began the night
But one would leave and snuff his light.

Our savior knelt upon the ground
His blood was spilt without a sound.
Three times He asked, can this cup pass?
He then fulfilled God’s will at last.

They scourged his body with delight
In hopes they would put out His light.
His cross He carried up the hill
And all his blood would finally spill.

It was finished, Christ’s work was done
He atoned as God’s begotten son.
The world cried out in anguished pain
For its creator they had slain.

Wrapped in linen he was placed
Laid in a tomb and stone encased.
All seemed lost and full of fear
For Jesus was no longer near.

Sunday came with perfect light
The Son of Man had won the fight.
Death was conquered, as was sin
Jesus Christ was whole again.

Recall each week when we partake
Of all He did for all our sakes.
His broken body and blood shed
Are in the water and the bread.

The greatest love the world has known
To all mankind Jesus has shown.
Keep our focus on His Love
And our eternal home above.

No Time To Waste

We’ve heard the words since we were young

So much that they fall from the tongue.

The Second Coming is at hand

We must prepare and take a stand.

Many years since then have passed

With the world degrading fast.

He really will be here again.

That day will be a perfect ten.

The prophets tell us to prepare

Do we not even really care?

God’s promises are always sure.

It’s imminent our hearts are pure.

The adversary knows his time is short

He’s never been the fair fight sort.

His wicked angels work non stop.

Hoping we just quit and drop.

His Second Coming will be soon

And we’ll all sing a different tune.

For those who’ve followed His true road.

That day removes your heavy load.

We truly have no time to waste

So much to do and do with haste.

Our hearts and minds need to be clear.

For Jesus Christ will soon be here!

Why Not Me

A tribute to Taiana I.K. Brown

A precious daughter sweet and pure
Sought to make her knowledge sure.
Trials came along her path
She learned to trust God’s perfect math.

She always had a smile for all
And two thumbs up while standing tall.
She kept her covenants faithfully
So with her God she’d always be.

Her godly worth she always knew
Her heart was pure and ever true.
She understood God’s plan for her
That God provides the only cure.

Her faith and service were divine
You’d think that everything was fine.
She now serves our Heavenly king
And to Him praises she does sing.

She never did bemoan her state
She knew all things would soon be great.
She never asked “how could this be”
But always stated “Why not me”.

Integrity

Driving down the road I see

Someone driving not like me.

Do they not know how to drive

To drive like me they all should strive.

What a stupid call to make

Did the ref not see the fake?

He should be flogged for what he did

Who cares if it is just a kid.

How ironic it seems to be

That I follow Jesus casually.

It seems that I don’t understand

Cuz I live in never never land.

Integrity is fading fast

It seems that it will never last.

But as for me and what I do

Integrity must be the glue.

Jesus showed the way to live

How to love and how to give.

If we say we follow him

It must be true and not a whim.

Casting Stones

Why do you do the things you do

Don’t you know its not good for you.

If you would heed my great advice

Your life would be so very nice.

These would be words to listen to

If Jesus spoke them just to you.

But when they come from someone dear

Sin is coming very near.

Our goal in life is not to judge

But give a gentle loving nudge.

Along with hugs and love galore

You’ll help them become so much more.

For if we look into the mirror

Our many flaws become quite clear.

So let us focus and reflect

And show each other great respect.

We’ll never lift by tearing down

Or switching smiles for a frown.

Our love is all we need to share

To show each other that we care.

The Savior of the world taught us

To be at peace and not to fuss.

His perfect love for you and me

Will make us who we need to be.

Let God Prevail

The fact that you are here on earth
Means you chose God’s firstborn Son.
He promised us a sacrifice
Atoning for each and every one.

No matter what each one has done
His arms are always open wide.
He wants us all to look to him
Turn from our sins and evil pride.

The devil seeks to just destroy
His plans will come to no avail.
Choose to follow Jesus Christ
Let us always “Let God Prevail.”

January 20, 2025 The Sound of The Trump!

This day could not have come too soon
It felt like a showdown at noon.
Common sense will be restored
And trust placed back upon the Lord

The last four years were like a stain
Lots of nonsense lots of pain.
Corrupt officials on both sides
Trying to swell the evil tides.

The only way to save our land
Is trust in Gods almighty hand.
Stand for truth with all our might
And bask in God’s eternal light.

The battle is far from being done
We must trust God’s only Son.
The day will come when it’s complete
And we all bow at Jesus’ feet.

Bridging The Distance

Each choice we make in this great life

Will bring us peace or bring us strife.

One voice wants us to obey

And the other not to pray.

As we choose the righteous path

We see God’s perfect simple math.

He takes our efforts in His heart

And makes it a much greater part.

If we choose to follow sin

Oh the sorrow we’ll be in.

That crooked path leads to much pain

And you realize there is no gain.

The beauty of God’s perfect plan

He sent His son, the Son of Man

He came to earth to save us all.

From sin and pain and from the Fall.

With His eternal sacrifice

A bridge He built with that price.

With humble hearts and bended knee

We’ll cross that bridge and with Him plea.

Please accept this offer of mine.

My heart is yours for all time.

Forever grateful I will be

That you sent Your Son for me.

A Queen of Angels

She was the first one to be born

On a beautiful April morn.

She chose to follow her kind heart

She followed Christ and did her part.

To serve God’s children was her choice

It helped her find God’s perfect voice.

He told her “I will find your prince”

She never looked back ever since.

Seven times she endured pain

To bring His children without stain.

She loved them with a heart of gold

And taught them to be pure and bold!

She’s now “Grammy” to many souls

And they have filled so many holes.

Her joy is full in many ways

She holds fast to the rod and stays!

One day she’ll see her godly worth

That she’s had since her perfect birth.

Her family is her greatest joy

That started when she chose a boy!

She was an angel at her  birth

The day she came to stay on earth.

She has kept her promise sure

A godly angel sweet and pure!

Be Faithful, Even When!

Search the scriptures front to back
Search each word and do not slack.
One thing for sure that you will find
God is not dead nor is he blind.
He sees each one of us each day
And for our joy he always prays.
Tribulations always come
They help us see who we come from.
Being free from pain and grief
Would help you feel a great relief.
But that is not how we learn best
We learn and toil to pass the test.
The measure of God’s lasting love
Would fill the heavens high above.
Don’t ever doubt his love for you
It’s always there and always true.
So when the trials rain down fast
Look up to God and you will last.
Pain will surely one day end
So stay the course and do not bend!

Being faithful never meant
That we’d be free from serious dents.
His only son went through it all
He rescued us from Adam’s fall.

Secret Santa

He does this every Christmas time

He shows his love with his own dime.

Fam’lies who need to know they’re loved

Are given gifts from heav’n above.

He does all this without a name

He wants no honor neither fame.

His reward is only joy

For he is in God’s sweet employ.

Many others help this work

They love to help and do not shirk.

Bringing smiles and many tears

The happiness lasts many years.
